Libraries in Glasgow

Glasgow does libraries properly, and nearly all of them are free. GoMA Library sits right above the gallery in the centre with step-free access to every floor, Bridgeton Library has evening opening twice a week for after-work visits, and Gorbals Library stays open till 8pm on two days too. Out towards the edges there's Baillieston Library and, a touch further, Moodiesburn Library with free internet for homework printing. For babies and toddlers, Bookbug sessions turn up again and again, at Partick, Pollokshields, Springburn and plenty more, all free and mostly no booking. School-age kids get more to do at Ibrox and Pollokshaws with Lego Fun, or Possilpark's craft club. Parkhead Library has a changing places toilet, rare enough to matter if you need one. If you want quiet rather than rhymes, Glasgow Women's Library has comfy chairs and an open door, and over in East Renfrewshire, Clarkston Library keeps hours running into Wednesday evening.
