Made by a dad who ran out of ideas.
Huddlepin exists because “where shall we take the kids this weekend?” shouldn't take longer to answer than the day out itself. We map family days out city by city, with the details parents actually need, checked by people who've actually been.

Huddlepin started the way most things in our house start: with a four-year-old asking “where are we going today?” and me realising we'd done the same four places on rotation for three months straight.
The places were out there: city farms, working windmills, medieval palaces standing in fields. But the information wasn't. Opening times buried in Facebook posts from 2023. “Family friendly” meaning anything from a soft play to a stately home with a strict no-touching policy. Nobody telling you whether there's parking, a café, or anywhere to change a nappy.
So I started writing it all down properly: prices, ages, the honest verdict. First for us, then for friends, then for hundreds of parents around Nottingham. Now it's 25 UK cities, done the same way: properly, by people who push the buggy themselves.

THE RULES WE DON'T BREAK
What we promise, in every city
Real and checked
Every listing is checked against the venue's own site before it goes live: prices, hours, ages and facilities come from what the venue publishes, never a guess.
Paid-for is always labelled
Venues can pay for a Pro listing and some ticket links earn us a commission. Both are marked as such, and neither changes the verdict we write. A place we wouldn't take our own kids to doesn't get in, whoever pays.
Prices and best ages, always
Nothing gets published without the cost, the ages it suits, and the practical stuff: parking, café, baby change.
The honest verdict
If somewhere is overpriced, underwhelming or only worth it on a steam-up day, we tell you. Our credibility is the product.
Kept fresh
Opening times and prices drift. We re-check listings so what you read on Huddlepin is what you'll find at the gate.
Every listing, free
A venue is in the guide because families go there, not because it paid. Every place gets a free listing and can claim it to correct the basics - the guide has to be complete to be useful.
