Who we are
Huddlepin is run by Huddlepin Ltd, a UK company (Companies House no. 17196588). We help Nottingham families find things to do. Contact: support@huddlepin.com.
What we collect and why
When you sign up for our newsletter we collect your email address. That's it: no name, no phone number. We use it for one thing: sending you the Huddlepin Weekender, our free email about family days out in and around Nottingham. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the sign-up form.
Where it's kept
Your email address is stored in Huddlepin's own database, hosted on our servers in the United Kingdom. We also record which campaign brought you to us (via link tags like "utm_source") so we know what's working. When we send newsletters we may use an email delivery provider acting as a data processor on our behalf; if we do, we'll update this policy to name them.
Analytics and advertising cookies
We use Google Analytics across the site to understand aggregate usage: which pages people visit and how they found us. Pages in our Hidden Nottingham campaign also use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) that sets cookies to measure whether our ads led to sign-ups. Both tell us aggregate numbers, not who you are. You can block them with an ad blocker or via your browser's cookie settings, and manage how Meta uses data about you in your Facebook ad preferences.
Unsubscribing and your rights
Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're out, no questions. Under UK GDPR you can also ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely: email support@huddlepin.com and we'll sort it promptly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
What we don't do
We don't sell your email address, share it with anyone beyond the processors above, or use it for anything except the newsletter you signed up for.
