Galleries & Exhibitions in Cardiff
Cardiff does galleries and exhibitions with a lot of green space thrown in. National Museum Cardiff, right in Cathays Park, is free and has dinosaurs alongside the art, so you get two visits in one. Out at Insole Court, a Victorian mansion with ornate gardens, there's a walk-through audio drama and a café for cake once the little legs give out. Down by the water, the Norwegian Church Arts Centre is a small white timber building with its own quiet history as a stop for Norwegian sailors. All four places on this page are free to get into, which helps when you're not sure how long anyone will last. The museum and the flea market (over 70 stalls if you fancy browsing rather than looking at art) are indoor options for a wet day, while Insole Court and the Norwegian Church give you outdoor space to wander too. Most have baby change and accessible toilets, and parking is free at the flea market if that swings it.
