What it’s like
A free art gallery in Cardiff with changing exhibitions, open Wednesday to Sunday with no need to book.
This is a gallery space up on the first and second floors, showing changing exhibitions of paintings and other work. Entry is free, so it's an easy one to drop into if you're already in the area and fancy half an hour looking at something other than a phone screen.
There's no booking system, you just turn up within opening hours. Wednesday to Saturday it's open 10am to 5pm, and Sunday hours are shorter, 11am to 4pm, so worth timing a Sunday visit a bit earlier than you might think.
The catch is access. The gallery's on the first and second floors with no wheelchair access, which also means it's not the easiest with a buggy if you'd rather not carry it up stairs. Worth bearing in mind if that's how you'd usually get around with your kids.
