What it’s like
A community theatre doing the annual panto, family drama and fringe nights, with a relaxed performance option for anyone who needs it.
This is a proper local theatre rather than a big touring venue, so the programme is a mixed bag: the annual pantomime (Cinderella gets a mention), family productions like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, cinema screenings, and the Talisman Fringe, which does short plays, improv and local bands on the first Thursday of the month at the Holiday Inn down the road. Worth knowing that not everything is aimed at children. Something like 48 Ghosts comes with parental discretion advised, so it's the panto and the family-billed shows you want if you're bringing kids along, not whatever's on generally.
There's a relaxed performance option too, built for anyone who'd rather come and go during the show or just needs a more flexible environment than sitting still for two hours. Two wheelchair spaces are held at the front row, with a complimentary carer seat and dog owners get seated near the aisle with water down for assistance dogs. All good stuff if it applies to you, though you'll want to ring the box office ahead to sort seating rather than turning up and hoping.
Parking is the one to plan around. The on-site car park is small, and if it's full you're looking at on-street parking or the Square West pay and display five minutes' walk away. If you fancy the train instead, it's just over ten minutes on foot from Kenilworth station, which has links to Leamington and Coventry.

Plan your visit
Is this suitable for young kids?
Depends on the show. The panto and family productions are aimed at younger audiences, but some like 48 Ghosts come with parental discretion advised, so check what's actually on.
Do we need to book?
There's no online booking link, so you'd phone the box office on 01926 856548, especially for wheelchair spaces or if you're bringing an assistance dog.
Is there parking?
A small car park on site that fills up, with on-street parking and the Square West pay and display five minutes away as backup.
What's a relaxed performance?
A version of the show where you can take a break and come back whenever you need to, built for anyone who'd find a normal sit-still performance tricky.
Can we get there by train?
Yes, it's just over a ten minute walk from Kenilworth train station, which has links to Leamington and Coventry.
