What it’s like
A proper pantomime and family show stage, with Cinderella and Unicorn Live among the current bill.
This is a theatre doing what theatres do at panto season: a full Cinderella production, plus family shows like Unicorn Live for the ones who'd rather have their favourite characters on stage than sat behind a screen. It's not a soft play or a hands-on museum, so if your crowd needs to touch everything, set expectations accordingly. What you're buying here is an hour or two in a seat, watching something built for kids to shout along with.
That said, panto is one of those things that works across a surprising stretch of ages. A four-year-old will be transfixed by the costumes and the "he's behind you" bits, and an eight-year-old will happily join in the booing. Unicorn Live leans younger and more specific, so it's worth thinking about which show actually suits the kid you're bringing rather than just booking whichever one's on that weekend.
On access, there's a lift to all floors and disabled access to most areas, which is a decent baseline for a venue this size and worth knowing if you're navigating with a pushchair or a wheelchair user in the group.
