What it’s like
An indoor skatepark for boards, BMX, in-line skates and scooters, open all day rather than in timed sessions.
This is a proper indoor skatepark, not a soft play with a couple of ramps bolted on. Kids on boards, BMX bikes, in-line skates or scooters get the run of the place, and there are no session times to work around, just an all day rate once you're signed up. That's handy if you've got a mixed group who all want different lengths of visit.
The catch is the membership. Everyone who rides has to hold one, and it exists to cover the insurance rather than to sell you extras, but it's still an extra step before you turn up for the first time. Anyone under 18 has to wear a helmet, no exceptions, and they'd rather under-12s were supervised even though it isn't compulsory. Minimum age across the whole centre is 4, and they're firm about that.
Hours run long on weekdays, 10am to 10pm, but weekends are shorter at 10am to 6pm, so a Saturday visit needs planning around that earlier finish. There's a bell 15 minutes before closing to start winding down. The on-site café does hot food at set times, Friday evenings and weekend daytimes mainly, with weekday school-holiday hours too, so it's not an any-time hot meal.
Parking is free on-site, front and side of the building, and there's wheelchair access plus a disabled toilet. Card payments have a £2 minimum spend, worth knowing if you're just popping in to watch and pay the spectator charge on a busy day.

Plan your visit
Do we need to book?
No, you can just turn up, sign up for membership and get riding. Booking's only needed if you want an instructor.
Do I need to stay with my child while they ride?
It isn't required, but they'd prefer under-12s to be supervised. Parents can spectate free while supervising.
Is there a minimum age?
4 years old for anyone using the centre, no exceptions.
Can I just watch without riding?
You can, though there's a £3 spectator charge at busier times. Parents supervising their own kids don't pay it.
What about food?
There's a café for hot and cold food and drinks, but hot food only runs at set times, Friday evenings, weekend daytimes and weekday school holidays.
Is there parking?
Free on-site parking to the front and side of the building.
