Climbing & Bouldering Centres in Birmingham

Birmingham Bouldering Centre is barely a mile from the centre, with walls for kids up to 14 to try under supervision and a café to collapse in afterwards. Out at West Bromwich, Boulder Central has a Moonboard with LED routes and a day pass from £3 that lets you climb as long as you like. There's also Creation Skatepark in Birmingham itself, an indoor spot for boards, BMX and scooters that's open all day rather than run in timed sessions. For toddlers there isn't much on offer here, but from about age 4 the skatepark works, and bouldering suits most kids from 7 up, which is the age Redpoint Worcester starts at (a longer trip out at £8 a go, with a 500m2 bouldering hall and roped climbing too). If it's cost that decides things, Boulder Central's £3 entry is hard to beat. Everything on this list is indoor, so rain isn't a factor, and most have a café on site for the wait between climbs.
