Live Music & Gigs in Birmingham
Most of this is packed into the centre. The Jam House in St Paul's Square is 18 and over only, with bands and cocktails from £2 and a dress code to match. The Night Owl in Digbeth is another late one for adults, while The Castle & Falcon in Moseley lets in the 14-plus crowd before turning into a club night once the bands stop at 11. For gigs a bit further out, there's a drive out to Wolverhampton for KK's Steel Mill, or out to Bilston for The Robin, doors usually at 7:30pm. If you want music with kids in tow, KK's Steel Mill has level access and a snack bar built in. Albert's Schloss will feed the family early evening before the beer hall atmosphere takes over, and the Sun On The Hill does home-cooked food most of the day if you just want a solid meal near the venues. Kitchen Garden Cafe has a soft-mat play corner if you need something calmer than a gig. Everything else here, from The Rhodehouse in Sutton Coldfield to Phoenix Live Music Restaurant & Bar, is built for an evening out rather than daytime plans.
