What it’s like

A live music venue and supper club in St Paul's Square where the evening runs on bands, cocktails and a dress code, strictly 18 and over.

This is a night out built around live music, not a family day trip. Wednesday to Saturday the stage runs from 6pm, with acts like Leee John of Imagination or an Afrobeats orchestra night, and tickets range from £12 advance up to £30 for a seated show. You can eat there too, with formal dining laid on for bigger groups and set menus for parties of ten or more, who need to pre-order.

The door policy is worth knowing before you turn up. It's 18 and over only, and under-21s need to be with someone over 21 to get in, so a group of eighteen-year-olds on their own will get turned away. Smart-casual is the rule, no hoodies, sportswear or caps, and ID gets checked. There's a 15 minute grace period if you're running late, after which you might be waiting outside.

Parking is the one to plan around. There's no car park on site, but the on-street parking round St Paul's Square is free after 6pm, and there's an NCP directly opposite if you'd rather not chance it. Snow Hill station and St Paul's tram stop are both five minutes' walk, which makes the train the easier option if you're drinking.

If you're booking for a group, the venue holds 605 standing, 350 for a buffet or 160 for a full sit-down meal, and booths are available with a Friday and Saturday supplement of £5 a head. Access is limited if anyone in your party uses an electric wheelchair, since it can't reach the dancefloor or restaurant, though foldable wheelchairs can be helped up and there's a stairlift between floors.
