What it’s like
One-to-one lessons in guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboard or vocals, pay-as-you-go with no long-term contract.
This is a private studio set-up rather than a group class, so your child gets a tutor to themselves for guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboard or vocals, either in person or online. Parents are welcome to sit in on the lesson, which is worth knowing if you've got a younger one who might want you within reach the first few times. There's also recording studio time on offer and Trinity Rock and Pop exam prep, so if your kid wants to work towards an actual qualification rather than just noodling on a keyboard, that route's there.
Pricing is pay-as-you-go: a half-hour is £20, an hour is £36, and buying a four-lesson pack brings the per-lesson cost down a bit, to £75 for four half-hours or £136 for four hours. There's no obligation to commit weekly, plenty come fortnightly instead, but the 48-hour cancellation policy is the sting here. Cancel late, no-show, or even ring in sick outside that window and you're still charged the full fee unless they can slot you in again that same week.
Lessons run Monday to Thursday from midday until half eight in the evening, and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm, so there's room to fit a lesson in after school or at the weekend without much rearranging. Booking is online, and new customers pay upfront before it's confirmed. If you're weighing up whether to commit to a pack, know that packs are non-refundable once started and need using within six months, so don't buy four hour-long sessions if summer holidays are about to swallow your calendar.
Parking is on-street outside via the Ringgo app, pay-and-display until 6pm and free after that Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday, with the Jewellery Quarter NCP car park behind as a backup if the street's full.

How much does a lesson cost?
A half-hour is £20 and an hour is £36 pay-as-you-go. A four-lesson pack brings that down to £75 for half-hours or £136 for full hours.
Do we need to book in advance?
Lessons are pre-booked through their online system, and new customers pay upfront before the booking's confirmed.
What happens if we need to cancel?
You need to give 48 hours notice. Cancel later than that, or don't show up, and you're charged the full fee, even if it's because you're ill, unless they can fit you in again that same week.
Can a parent stay in the lesson?
Yes, all lessons are one-to-one and parents are welcome to sit in, whether it's in person or online.
Is there parking nearby?
You can park on the street directly outside using the Ringgo app, pay-and-display until 6pm and free after that Monday to Saturday and all Sunday. The Jewellery Quarter NCP car park just behind is another option.
What if we buy a lesson pack and don't use it all?
Packs are non-refundable once you've started using them and need to be used within six months, so it's worth only buying what you'll realistically fit in.
