What it’s like
VR gaming and 360-degree rotating cinema seats near the Bullring, but it's a 16-plus venue, so this one's for the teens and adults, not the little ones.
This is a VR arcade, not a soft play with a headset bolted on. You book a slot, strap in and either play VR games solo or in a group, or sit in one of the rotating chairs for a VR cinema experience. The site mentions a cheerful, colourful film selection for younger viewers, but the minimum age across the board is 16, so it's not somewhere to bring a ten-year-old for a treat.
Gaming sessions run an hour, cinema ones half an hour, and you book ahead rather than turn up on spec. Pricing is per group rather than per head: £30 gets one or two of you an hour of gaming, and it scales up to £125 for a group of five to eight. If there are more than two of you, there's £5 off per person, which takes some of the sting out of it. £150 buys a longer corporate or team-building slot if that's more your situation.
It's five minutes on foot from the Bullring, so easy to fold into a day of shopping or a trip in on the train. There's a gift shop on site if you want a souvenir on the way out. Given the age limit and the hourly booking slots, this reads more like a birthday treat for a group of teenagers or a work outing than a family day out with young kids in tow.
