What it’s like
A mile and a half woodland trail with more than 20 play stations, slides, bounce rides and a zip line to save for last.
This is a proper walk with rides bolted on rather than a fenced-off playground, so pack for it. The trail runs 1.5 miles through the woods with over 20 play stations along the way: a mesh maze, a water squirter bridge, the Skipper rotating bull ride, a balance challenge on five wobbly barrels, and slides steep enough that the site half-jokes about watching Dad go down them. The zip line is a separate £7 ticket, which feels like the right call, it's the sort of thing you want to be a treat rather than baked into the price.
Everyone pays to get in, even if you're just there to watch someone else wobble on the barrels, and it's £12 a head for anyone aged 4 and up at weekends and holidays. Under-4s and concessions come in at £7.50. It's card only on site, no cash, so leave the coins at home. They reckon on at least three hours to get round everything properly, which sounds about right once you factor in queuing for the slides twice.
The catch is the terrain. Steep inclines and rough ground mean it is not really wheelchair or pushchair friendly beyond the top end near the café, though the café itself and a few rides nearby are accessible. If you've got a buggy, you can manage bits of it but you will be carrying it more than pushing it. Dogs are welcome on leads, and you can bring a packed lunch for the picnic benches scattered along the trail, or get stone-baked pizza and burgers at the Hilltop Cafe if you would rather not carry sandwiches up a hill.
Booking online in advance is the sensible move rather than an optional extra. They fill up at peak times and will turn you away at the gate if capacity's hit, and tickets are 50p cheaper online than at the kiosk anyway, so there is no real reason to risk it on the day.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£12 for anyone aged 4 and up at weekends and school holidays, £7.50 for under-4s and concessions. The zip line is £7 extra on top of your entry ticket.
Do we need to book ahead?
Booking online is strongly advised, they will turn you away if the site is full. Card payments are taken at the kiosk if there is space left, but tickets cost 50p more there than online.
Is it OK for a toddler or a pushchair?
The trail itself has rough terrain and steep inclines, so it is not really pushchair friendly beyond the top section near the café. Some parents do manage bits of it with a pushchair, but you are carrying more than pushing.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Not along the trail itself, the ground is too rough and steep. Wheelchair users can still use the café and a few rides close by, including some inflatables.
How long should we plan to stay?
At least three hours if you want to get round all the play stations and take in the views.
What happens if it rains?
The trail stays open in most weather, though certain rides may close if conditions turn unsafe. You will be told on the day and tickets can be rebooked if that happens.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes, packed lunches are welcome and there are picnic benches dotted along the trail. The Hilltop Cafe does stone-baked pizzas and burgers if you would rather not carry a picnic up the hill.
Is there parking?
Free parking right by the start of the trail, and you can come and go from it during the day.
Are dogs allowed?
On leads, yes. Dogs covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted.
Do we have to pay if we're just watching?
Everyone through the gate pays admission, there are no spectator tickets, even for grandparents planning to sit it out.
Can you do parties there?
The party room is free if you buy food, and it comes with a dedicated space, trail access, seating and decorations.
Is the zip line included in the ticket?
It is a separate £7 add-on, bookable online or on the day if there is availability. Everything else on the trail is covered by your standard ticket.
