What it’s like
Locked rooms, tight clues and a countdown clock, with teams of two to six racing to crack the puzzles before time runs out.
This is a puzzle room, not a soft play, so the whole point is the group working together to spot clues, crack codes and get out before the clock beats you. There's a choice of themed escape rooms, an outdoor City Hunt game if you fancy legging it round Worcester instead, and VR games for the older ones, though those are 12+ so don't promise them to an eight-year-old.
Pricing works on a sliding scale per head: £33 each for two players, dropping to £30 for three, £26 for four, £25 for five and £24 if you fill a team of six. That's a decent incentive to rope in a couple more mates rather than go as a pair. Under-8s aren't the target audience here anyway, the minimum age is 8, and anyone under 16 needs a paying adult in the room with them. A game runs around 90 minutes once you count the briefing and the inevitable "wait, what does that symbol mean" moments.
Birthday parties start from £22 a head for an after-school slot on weekdays, or £35 a head otherwise, and if you've got ten or more in the group the birthday child goes free. It's card only inside, no cash, so don't turn up with a fiver for the vending machine. Worth knowing too that the indoor rooms aren't wheelchair accessible because of how the venue's laid out, though the outdoor City Hunt games are, and a registered carer gets in free.
There's an NCP car park nearby if you're driving, and it's a five minute run from junction 7 of the M5, handy if you're coming from out of town. Book early in the week before midday and there's 10 percent off with a code, which is worth grabbing if your diary's flexible.
