Splash Parks & Paddling Pools in Birmingham

Splash parks in Birmingham are thin on the ground, but what's here is easy to like. Moseley Park and Pool, close to the centre, isn't really a splash park at all, it's eleven acres of parkland with a lake, fish and water fowl, and it only opens free on Wednesdays, which is worth building your day around. Out at Stourbridge, Mary Stevens Park does the job more directly, with free water play, a proper playground and a duck pond all in one place. Both are free, so cost isn't the decision here, it's really about what kind of day you want. Moseley suits a slower visit, good for watching the water fowl with younger children if you catch that Wednesday opening. Mary Stevens Park is the better bet for actual water play, and with a café on site and free parking, it copes well with a soaked, hungry family afterwards.
