Outdoor Gyms & Trim Trails in Birmingham
Trim trails and outdoor gyms are a bit spread out here, but all free to use. Oaklands Recreation Ground is the closest, with two play areas, a skate spot, a basketball court and jogging routes to wear out most ages. Meriden Park has a parkour and street workout setup, concrete obstacles and bars for pull ups if your kids (or you) fancy something more like training than playing. Out at Little Aston Recreation Ground in Sutton Coldfield there is a proper trim trail to clamber over, plus wildlife events and an ice cream van for afterwards. For younger children, Oaklands has more general play equipment alongside the fitness kit, so it suits mixed ages better. If your children are older and want a challenge, Meriden Park's bars and obstacles are built for that. Little Aston is worth the longer trip out if you want green space and a slower morning with a trail thrown in, not just equipment in a car park.
