What it’s like
Head out to the fields and fill a basket with whatever's ready, strawberries in summer, sprouts once winter comes round.
This is picking, not browsing. You walk out into the fields and take whatever's in season straight off the plant, strawberries when the weather's warm, sprouts when it's turned cold, and there's something to pick most of the year rather than just a few autumn weekends. That makes it an easy one to fit around a season rather than racing to catch a short window before it's over.
There's no entry fee, so what you spend depends entirely on how much you fill your basket with, which suits families who like to control the damage themselves rather than pay a flat rate at the gate. It suits kids who like a bit of a task rather than just running about, the sort who'll happily hunt for the reddest strawberry or the biggest sprout and want to show you every single one.
Opening hours are straightforward for most of the week, from ten until half four Tuesday to Saturday, but Sunday is a shorter window, just ten till one, so if you want a proper wander through the fields, Saturday or a weekday gives you more time before they shut. Over Christmas the times change day by day: weekdays still run ten till half four, but Saturday opens an hour earlier at nine and Sunday is nine till midday, both shorter and earlier than the usual pattern. They close fully from the 25th of December through New Year and reopen on the 2nd of January.
There's no booking system mentioned, so it sounds like you can simply turn up during opening hours and head for the fields.

Do we need to book?
There's no booking link, so you can just turn up during opening hours.
How much does it cost?
Entry's free. You pay for what you pick and take home.
What can we pick and when?
Strawberries in summer, sprouts in winter, with something in season across most of the year rather than one short window.
What are the opening hours?
Tuesday to Saturday it's ten till half four. Sunday's shorter, ten till one, and Monday's closed. Christmas week hours are different again, with Saturday opening at nine and Sunday running nine till midday, and they're shut completely from the 25th of December to the 1st of January, reopening on the 2nd.
