What it’s like

Laser tag, VR escape rooms and a full arcade under one roof, with an unlimited summer pass if you want to lose an afternoon there.

This is the sort of place you go when the weather's rubbish and the kids need somewhere loud to spend a few hours. There's laser tag, a VR escape room, interactive darts, a Fun City simulator, plus the usual arcade sprawl of basketball, pool, football and shuffleboards. Karaoke rooms too, if anyone in your crew fancies embarrassing themselves.

The pricing is built around passes rather than pay-per-go, which makes it easier to plan for but takes a bit of getting your head round. A Twilight Pass or After School & College Pass is £15, and if you're going in the summer holidays the Unlimited Play Summer Pass at £29 is the one to weigh up against how many hours you'll actually get out of them. Booking ahead is recommended, especially at weekends and school holidays, though they do take walk-ups if you fancy chancing it on a quieter Tuesday.

Opening hours shift around a fair bit through the week. Saturday's the long one, 10am to 11pm, while Monday's shut altogether, so that's one day off the list before you even start planning. Sunday's a shorter 10am to 6pm slot, which suits a family visit better than trying to do the place at 9pm on a Friday.

There's a café and a licensed bar on site doing food and drinks through the day, including a pizza and drink deal at £12.95, so you're not stuck bringing snacks in. If it's a birthday do you're after, the party packages run from Bronze at £25 a head for an hour and two attractions, up to Gold at £42 for three hours and three attractions, with a private room and host thrown in. The Gold package is a serious spend for a kids' party, but it does mean you're not also having to sort food and entertainment separately.
