What it’s like

An indoor trampoline arena with an assault course and inflatable zones for climbing, sliding and bouncing, plus a toddler area for under-4s.

The main draw here is the pro-style assault course, all climbs, swings and vaults, alongside a giant inflatable arena with zones for crawling, climbing and sliding. Kids aged 4 and up get the run of both, while under-4s have their own Tiny Ninjas inflatable area with a mini slide, kept separate so nobody bigger comes barrelling through.

Sessions run for one or two hours and everything has to be booked in advance, no turning up on spec. A one-hour go is £12, two hours is £18, and under-4s get a cheaper Ninja Tots hour at £6. If you're free on a weekday afternoon in term time, After School Ninja runs Monday to Thursday from 3pm, a full two hours for £6 (half that again if you're a club ninja), though last entry is an hour before closing so you'll want to be through the door by 5pm. There are also Home School sessions on the same weekdays, one hour for £7 or two hours for £9, handy if you're not tied to the usual school run.

Grip socks are compulsory and bought at reception, and they're firm on long sleeves and long trousers too since friction burns are a real risk on the slides. Jewellery and loose items come off before you go in. One thing that catches people out: every child aged 4 to 16 needs a responsible adult in the venue, and that adult has to buy a spectator ticket, so this isn't a drop-and-run kind of place.

Parking's free with 75 spaces on site, and there's a café if you fancy a sit down while the kids bounce. Birthday parties run from two rooms, one holding 20 and the other 30, with Classic and Premium packages starting at £14 off-peak. You'll need to book those at least 72 hours ahead, so it's not a last-minute decision if a party's on the cards.
