Splash Parks & Paddling Pools in Glasgow

Splash parks proper are thin on the ground here, but Glasgow and Paisley both do a good line in indoor water instead. Tollcross International Swimming Centre sits close to the centre and has an Olympic-sized pool alongside a gym and sports halls, open early to late most days. Out at Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley there's a flume to keep older kids entertained, plus a gym and dance studio under the same roof. If you're after somewhere with facilities laid on for the whole visit, Tollcross has a cafe, baby change and a changing places space, which makes it the easier choice with a baby or a child who needs more support. Lagoon asks you to book ahead but gives you two hours free parking, handy if you're driving over from further out. Neither is a paddle-and-go splash pad, so pack swimming kit rather than just wellies.
