What it’s like

A pool with a flume plus a gym, dance studio and hall, all under one roof with two hours free parking.

The flume is the bit kids will ask for again. It's a proper pool set-up, not just lengths and armbands, and the site lists dance and exercise studio classes alongside the swimming if you fancy splitting the visit between splashing about and something a bit more structured.

The hours are worth pinning down before you go, since the pool, gym and hall don't all run on the same clock. On weekdays the pool's open 7am to 8pm and the hall until 9pm, so there's room to go after school or after work. Weekends are tighter across the board: pool 10am to 4pm, gym 8am to 3:30pm, hall 9am to 4pm, so a lazy Saturday morning turning up at midday still gets you a decent stretch, but don't leave it late.

Parking's free for the first two hours if you register your car at reception, which covers a swim without you watching the clock, though it's flagged as tight when there's an event on, and the pool itself closes for events sometimes too. Wheelchair access is available throughout, and there's a café on site for afterwards.

  • Weekend hours are shorter than weekdays across the pool, gym and hall, so check which session you're aiming for

  • Events can close the pool or squeeze the car park, so it's not always a guaranteed walk-in

Plan your visit

What is there for kids to do?

Swimming with a flume is the main draw, plus there are dance and exercise studio classes and a fitness suite if older kids or the adults want to join in too.

What are the pool opening hours?

7am to 8pm on weekdays, 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Do we need to book?

Booking is required, so sort that before you turn up rather than assuming you can walk straight in.

Is there parking?

Two hours free if you register your car with reception when you arrive. It gets tight when there's an event on.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes, wheelchair access is available.

What if there's an event on?

Worth knowing the pool sometimes closes for events, and parking gets squeezed too, so it can throw off a spontaneous visit.
