What it’s like
A big indoor play centre with a drop slide for the over-sevens and a proper toddler zone away from the chaos.
The drop slide is the one they'll go on about, but it's got a recommended minimum age of seven, so if you've got a smaller one hoping to have a go, they'll need to wait their turn on the monitored slides and jump drop instead. There's a separate baby and toddler area for the under-threes, and a junior play area that covers ages two to fourteen, so the bigger inflatables and soft play don't swamp the little ones.
Pricing is tiered by age and time, and it jumps a fair bit at weekends and school holidays. An off-peak two-hour session for a child three and over is £12.95, but the same slot on a Saturday or in the holidays is £16.50. Adults pay £1.50 an hour just to supervise, and every child sixteen and under gets charged whether they're playing or just sat watching their older sibling, which stings if you've brought a teenager who'd rather be on their phone.
There's no booking for regular visits, it's walk in and hope for a space, which is fine on a quiet Tuesday but a gamble on a wet Saturday in half term. The site pushes the two-hour session over the one-hour one, on the basis that with both soft play and inflatables to get through, an hour goes fast. Slides mean no bare skin showing, so shorts, skirts and dresses are banned on them, and sports or synthetic fabric isn't recommended either. It's worth sticking to leggings and a t-shirt if you want the slides in play.
Parking's free for customers, and the Cosmic Cafe does food on site, though you can't bring your own in and eat it inside, only party bags get an exception. Parties start from £19.95 a child off-peak, get a themed room from a choice of six, a proper hot meal and ice cream, and a treasure hunt built in, but the deposit is 50% and non-refundable, so you want to be fairly sure of your numbers before you commit.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Off-peak, a two-hour session for a child three and over is £12.95, rising to £16.50 at weekends and in school holidays. Adults pay £1.50 an hour to supervise, and every child sixteen and under is charged even if they're not playing.
Do we need to book?
Just turn up, there's no booking system for regular visits. It's first come, first served, so a wet weekend could mean a queue.
Is it any good for a toddler?
There's a dedicated baby and toddler area for under-threes, kept apart from the bigger kids' inflatables. Babies under six months get in free.
What's the minimum age for the drop slide?
Seven, and they recommend it firmly rather than just suggest it.
How long does a session last?
You can book one or two hours, but they steer everyone towards two, reckoning that between the soft play and the inflatables an hour disappears fast.
Can we bring our own snacks?
Not for a regular visit, only food bought from the Cosmic Cafe can be eaten inside. Party bags are the one exception to that rule.
Is there parking?
Free, for paying customers, in the car park across from the centre.
What should the kids wear for the slides?
Cover up. No shorts, skirts or dresses on the slides because bare skin isn't allowed, and sports or synthetic fabric isn't recommended either.
What's included in a birthday party?
From £19.95 a child off-peak you get a themed party room, an hour and a half of play, a hot meal, ice cream and a treasure hunt game. There's a 50% deposit and it's non-refundable, so check your numbers before you pay it.
Are you open every day?
Yes, seven days a week, and that includes Tuesdays and Wednesdays during school holidays when they'd otherwise be shut.
Is the centre accessible for wheelchairs?
There's a lift, so it's manageable across the different levels.
Can I extend our session once we're there?
You can, but it's charged at the full rate for the extra time, not just the difference, so it adds up quickly.
