Skate Parks & BMX Tracks in Glasgow
Three quite different options here. The Loading Bay Skatepark is indoor, close to the centre, and runs open sessions for anyone from 6 up on BMX, scooter or board, no need to book, with a cafe and free parking if you're making a morning of it. Queens Park Skatepark & Vert Ramp is free, always open, and has a vert ramp, rails, a spine and a kicker, though it shows its age in places. Further out, Airdrie Skatepark is a free concrete park with a 6 foot halfpipe, a 3/4 pool and a minibowl, a longer trip if you're coming from central Glasgow. For younger or newer riders, the Loading Bay is the safer bet, being indoor and set up for open sessions rather than assuming skill. If your kids already ride confidently, Queens Park and Airdrie cost nothing and give more room to push technique, just expect worn surfaces at Queens Park. Wet weather really only leaves the indoor option, and if you're heading to Airdrie it's worth building in proper travel time rather than treating it as a quick trip.
