Adventure Parks & High Ropes in Reading
If your kids are after zip lines and rope bridges rather than another soft play, there are two proper options within a drive of Reading. Go Ape Bracknell has courses strung through Swinley Forest, booking required, from £18.95, plus a Segway route if harnesses aren't for you. It's a longer trip out to Slough for Black Park Country Park, where the woodland trails and adventure playground are free to enter, with Go Ape's treetop courses there too if you want the ropes as well. For younger children or anyone easing in, Black Park's playground and trails cost nothing, so you can let them explore before deciding whether the treetop course is worth the extra spend. If your family is set on the ropes, Go Ape Bracknell is the closer option, with parking, a cafe and party rooms on site if you're making a day of it. Both parks welcome dogs and have accessible toilets and baby change.
