What it’s like
A country park where the day runs from farm animals and a mini railway to a giant zip wire and a dinosaur trail.
This is a big outdoor day rather than a single attraction, and it suits families with younger kids best. The Animal Farm runs interactive activities daily, the Miniature Railway does a five minute loop that's an easy win with a toddler who just wants to sit still for once, and the Pixie Forest gives you somewhere quieter to wander if the bigger rides feel like too much. There's a dinosaur exhibit too, about 20 of them dotted around, which is the sort of thing kids bring up on the drive home.
For the slightly older end (this one tops out around 8), the adventure play area has a giant zip wire and a balance trail with a wobbly bridge and monkey bars, plus a hill climb with slides. Under-fives get their own toddler area with role-play buildings and a sand pit, and there's a separate soft play space indoors for babies. If someone in your group needs a break from the noise, the sensory play room is there for exactly that.
One thing worth knowing before you book: the Splash Zone is closed for the 2026 season, so if that water play was the reason you were going, it won't be there this time round. Refreshment prices have also been flagged as on the pricier side, which tracks with most days out like this. Tickets are non-refundable too, even for bad weather, so a rainy forecast is a gamble you take on the day rather than a reason to cancel for free.
You can turn up without pre-booking, though there are capacity limits, so booking online ahead does at least guarantee your spot and comes with a discount. If you visit often, the annual passes make more sense: the Full Access one throws in free parking, free train rides and money off food, which adds up if you're the sort of family that comes back every school holiday.
