What it’s like

A sensory and soft play spot for under-fives, with baby classes, story sessions and a fibre optic sensory room to explore.

This one's built entirely around the under-fives, so there's no big frame for an older sibling to disappear up. The sensory room is the main draw for the smallest visitors, fairy lights, bubble tubes, fibre optics and a ball pit to crawl into, and it's a proper change of pace from the usual soft play primary colours. Stay & Play sessions bring out the soft play equipment and a light-up ball pit for the more mobile toddlers, while baby massage, baby yoga and Tots Tales story sessions fill out the timetable for the classes side of things.

Term time only, and the hours are short: Monday finishes at 2.30pm, the rest of the week runs to 3.30pm. That's fine if you're planning round a nap or a school run, less fine if you fancied a lazy afternoon. The café keeps similar hours and actually shuts earlier on Mondays and Fridays, so if lunch matters, check which day you're going before you commit to a session there.

Weekends are off the table for casual visits, they're kept for birthday parties and private hire, so this is a weekday plan. Parking is the bit that'll wind you up: no on-site car park, and Union Street parking has a 2-hour limit, which is tight if you're doing a class plus a coffee afterwards. Walk-ups are welcome for Stay & Play if there's space, but booking ahead saves you the gamble.

Parties for under-fives run as 3-hour exclusive hire slots, morning or afternoon, with food added on top. Deposits aren't refundable and neither are unused sessions, which is worth knowing before you commit to a block booking you might not use every week. The 50% sibling discount on block bookings and courses is a decent saving if you've got two under five.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

Parties for under-fives start from £250 for 3-hour exclusive hire, plus food at £4-5 a head. Sensory room parties start from £100.

Do we need to book Stay & Play?

Pre-booking is recommended but you can walk up and pay at the café till if there's space on the day.

Is there parking?

No on-site car park. Union Street has a 2-hour limit, or there are car parks around central Stourbridge.

What ages is this for?

It's aimed at under-fives, with babies catered for in massage, yoga and Tots Tales Babies classes.

Can I bring an older sibling along?

Depends on the class. Tots Tales Toddler welcomes less-mobile younger siblings, but Sensory Room Play and Tots Tales Babies aren't suitable for older siblings. Stay & Play has a small area with baby gyms for non-mobile babies.

Are you open at weekends?

Weekends are kept for birthday parties and private hire only.

What if we miss a booked session?

It won't roll over. They'll try to move you to another class that same week if there's space, but missed sessions aren't carried into the next week and there's no refund.

Is there food?

There's a café on site with high chairs and vegetarian and allergy-aware options, though it keeps shorter hours on Mondays and Fridays.

How long does a visit last?

Sessions run within the term time opening hours, Monday until 2.30pm and Tuesday to Friday until 3.30pm.
