What it’s like

Indoor bouldering across three spaces, from wobbly first grips for under-6s to V6+ routes for confident teens.

Climbing is the main event here, spread across three separate spaces so a nervous seven-year-old on their first V0 route isn't sharing a wall with someone hauling themselves up a V6+ overhang. There's a training gym too, with a campus board, beastmaker fingerboards and free weights, which is really aimed at older climbers rather than the kids, but it's there if your teenager wants to get serious about it.

Under-6s get their own thing rather than being squeezed into the main room: Bambinos sessions for 6-11 month olds run Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and the main climbing room stays shut until 2pm those same three days. That's worth knowing before you plan a Monday morning trip expecting the big walls, because you'll be turned towards the smaller stuff instead. A day pass for under-6s is £8, and 7 to 13 year olds pay £10, which feels reasonable for something that'll actually tire a kid out properly rather than just letting them run about.

Beyond the climbing there's an escape room, Murder at Marwood Manor, and UV paint battles and messy play sessions that sound like the kind of thing you book ahead for rather than just turn up to. No booking is needed for general climbing, you just pay for a day pass and go, but the activity sessions want booking online. Shoe hire is £4 and chalk another £2, so factor that on top if you haven't got your own gear.

There's a café on site for coffee and protein shakes if you need to refuel after all that climbing, and birthday parties get their own packages, Climb, Glow, Splat or Play, with instructor-led activities and meal boxes at £4 a head. It's an easy one to reach too, close to Torquay town centre and on the main bus routes, so you don't need to think too hard about getting there.
