What it’s like
Eighteen holes of pirate-themed adventure golf with exploding cannons, water cannons and bridges over shark infested seas.
Eighteen holes wind through a pirate setup, with exploding cannons going off as you play and water cannons that'll catch someone out at least once a round. The bridges over the "pirate infested waters" and the shark theme running through the course are the bits younger kids will bring up on the way home, and at 3 years old they're already allowed round, so this works from preschool age right up to the adults who came along to supervise and end up just as competitive.
There's no booking, you just turn up any day from half nine in the morning, with last entry at quarter past nine at night. That's a long window, which makes it an easy one to slot into a rainy afternoon or a summer evening after the beach. A family ticket for two adults and two kids is £27, which works out cheaper than paying separately, and under-5s get in for £4.50 as long as they're playing alongside a full paying adult.
Eighteen holes is a proper round, not a quick five minutes, so budget more time than you might expect for a game of mini golf, especially if you've got a competitive streak in the family and someone insists on a replay of the eighth hole. Birthday parties are catered for too, with group discounts available if you get in touch directly.
