What it’s like

A German-themed bar with pool, darts and a live Oompah band that gets the whole room up dancing on benches.

This one's less about the kids doing an activity and more about the whole table getting swept up in it. There's pool and darts to keep hands busy, but the main event is the live Oompah band, and from what they describe, the benches turn into a dancefloor before long. If your kids are the type who'll happily join in a singalong and don't mind noise, that's the bit they'll be talking about after.

The food leans hard into the German theme: bratwurst, wings, pizza, loaded fries, with vegetarian and vegan options on the menu too. There's a full bar alongside it, cocktails, wine, cider, prosecco and a decent line-up of German and international beers on tap, so this reads more like an evening out with kids in tow than a dedicated kids' venue.

Pricing runs by event rather than a flat entry fee. The Bierkeller Live night is £20, and there's a daytime Oktoberfest party at £18 if you fancy something earlier in the day. Opening hours stretch late, particularly Friday and Saturday when it runs to 2am, though a family visit is obviously going to sit at the earlier end of that window.

They do birthday parties and group bookings, with party rooms set aside for it, and the place is wheelchair accessible. Booking's available online, and given the live band nights are ticketed events rather than casual walk-ins, it's worth sorting that ahead of turning up.
