What it’s like

An indoor warehouse of ramps for skateboards, scooters, BMX and inline skating, with coached sessions from age five.

This is a proper skatepark under one roof, not a soft play with a slide bolted on. Ramps of varying difficulty fill the warehouse, and kids can turn up to skateboard, scoot, ride BMX or inline skate, or book onto a coached lesson if they want someone showing them the drop-in properly rather than working it out themselves in front of an audience.

Five is the minimum age and there is no upper one, which is honest given how many adults you will see on the ramps too. Sessions run £13 for the Wednesday to Friday evening slot or either weekend session, and £7.50 if you catch a Home Education session in the week. Kids aged five to nine need a parent or guardian on the premises the whole time, so don't plan on dropping off and doing the big shop. Equipment hire is not included in the ticket price and has to be sorted on the day at sign-in, so factor that into what you're actually spending.

Helmets are compulsory for all under-16 scooter riders and for anyone using the resi ramp, no exceptions, and trainers are the sensible footwear here, not anything open-toed. There's a café on site for the inevitable "can we get chips" moment, and free parking right at the park with the street as overflow if an event's on. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays in term time and evening sessions are limited to Wednesday to Friday, so check which day you're heading down rather than turning up on a Monday to a locked door.

Birthday parties get two hours: an hour of coached instruction on the ramps followed by an hour in the private party room with chips, pizza or hotdog and unlimited juice. It's £250 for a weekday or weekend party, £350 if you want private hire of the whole place, and the party bags include a t-shirt and a week pass for the birthday child, which is a decent bit of the cost justified right there.

Plan your visit

How much does a session cost?

£13 for the Wednesday to Friday evening slot or either weekend session. Home Education sessions midweek are £7.50, and there's a £12 SEN session on Saturdays.

Do we need to book?

Booking speeds up sign-in but you can pay cash or card on arrival. Coaching, parties and private hire do need booking though.

Is it OK for a young child?

Five is the minimum age. Anyone between five and nine needs a parent or guardian on site with them the whole session.

Do we need our own skateboard or scooter?

You can hire equipment on the day at sign-in, but it's not included in the admission price and can't be booked in advance.

Is a helmet compulsory?

All scooter riders under 16 must wear one, and anyone using the resi ramp needs a helmet with no exceptions.

What should we wear?

Jeans or joggers, a t-shirt and trainers, no open-toed shoes. It's a warehouse so bring a hoody in winter.

Is there parking?

There's a free car park on site, plus free street parking as overflow if an event has things busy.

What are the opening hours?

In term time it's Wednesday to Friday evenings and weekends 12 to 6.15pm. School holidays open up Tuesday to Friday from midday to 9.30pm, plus the same weekend hours.

Is there food on site?

Yes, there's a café serving hot and cold food and drinks.

How much is a birthday party and what's included?

£250 for a weekday or weekend party, £350 for private hire. You get an hour of coached instruction, an hour of free time, a private party room, food, unlimited juice and goodie bags.

How do we get there without a car?

Aintree train station is about a 10 minute walk away.
