What it’s like

A coffee stop with free parking and indoor seating, open long hours seven days a week, plus space you can book for a birthday.

This is a café first, not a soft play or an activity centre, so treat it as somewhere to sit with a coffee while the kids colour in or play whatever you've brought along. It's open early too, from half seven on weekdays, which suits anyone whose morning starts before the rest of the world's does. Sundays it's a shorter day, nine till five.

Free parking on site takes the stress out of the school-run version of a coffee stop, no hunting for change for a meter with a toddler under one arm. There's indoor seating, so a wet Tuesday isn't a problem, and the loyalty app stamps you towards a free coffee, which is a small win when you're the one paying for everyone's hot chocolate.

They do private event hosting for birthdays and book clubs alike, which is worth knowing if you fancy a party that doesn't involve you cleaning up glitter afterwards. Book clubs and business events on the same list as birthdays is an odd trio, but it tells you they're set up for groups, not just a table for two.

There's no age range given, so it's really a call on whether your kids are happy sitting still with a drink rather than climbing something. For a quick stop or a catch-up over coffee while little ones doodle, it does the job well enough.

Monday to Saturday it's open from 7:30am to 7pm. Sundays it's shorter, 9am to 5pm.

Is there parking?

Free parking on site, which is one less thing to juggle with kids in tow.

Can we book it for a birthday party?

Yes, they do private event hosting for birthdays as well as book clubs and business events.

Do we need to book ahead for a normal visit?

There's no booking link listed, so it reads as a turn up and grab a table sort of place.
