What it’s like
Social darts with pizzas and cocktails, and a Family Session window that lets kids from 12 have a go too.
This is darts, but not as you remember it from the pub. Social Darts is a set of multiplayer games explained on a screen above the board, so nobody needs to have thrown an arrow before. It's £9 a head and from 12 they can actually play, as long as it's a Family Session, which runs Sunday to Friday until 4:30pm.
That 4:30pm cut-off matters. After 5pm on weekdays, and all day Saturday, it switches to strictly 18+, so a Saturday trip with the kids is off the table entirely. If you've got a 10-year-old who fancies watching rather than throwing, they're welcome to sit at the bar table with you, but they can't join in until they hit 12.
Food comes from Flight Club itself, pizzas and sharing plates, with vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options on the menu, and you can pre-order online up to 48 hours ahead so it lands as you play. You can't bring your own snacks in, which is fair enough given they're running a kitchen, but worth knowing if you've got a fussy eater in tow. Walk-ins get seated for food and drink, but if you actually want to play darts, especially at a busy time, book ahead: they'll ask for minimum group sizes from 4pm on weekdays and all day Saturday, so a couple turning up on spec might get turned away from the oche.
It's indoor, it's open every day bar Christmas Day, and the whole thing feels built more for a group booking or a birthday than a quick after-school stop. For a family session with older kids and a free afternoon, though, it's a genuinely different way to spend an hour or two.
