What it’s like
A gentle soft play just for under-fives, with role play corners and a music session to end every 90 minutes.
This one's built entirely around the under-fives, so there's no worry about a ten-year-old barrelling through on a scooter board. The site lists role play spaces and open-ended play as the main activities, and every session winds down with a music time, which is a nice touch for the ones too small for a big frame but still needing something to do with their hands.
Sessions run 90 minutes and cost £6.95 a child, with adults getting in free. An extra baby under one is just £1, which is generous if you're bringing a newborn and a toddler at the same time. Booking's required though, and given it's Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm only, there's no weekend option here if that's when you're free.
Birthday parties get two hours of exclusive hire, with three package tiers from £13 to £16.50 a child covering food and activities. The Lobster Party at the top end isn't cheap once you've got a handful of kids in it, but it does mean you're not also sorting a buffet yourself. A £100 deposit holds the date, with the rest due a week before, and parents are expected to stay and supervise rather than drop and dash.
There's a café on site doing drinks and food, and baby change is sorted too. With the age cap at five, it's not somewhere to plan a return trip once your eldest starts wanting the big slides, but for the nought to five crowd it's a straightforward, low-key morning out.
