What it’s like
Timed sessions of slides, a climbing wall and trampolines, with a separate baby zone for the pre-walkers.
The main hall is split by age, which is the sensible bit. Climbers and trampoline fans get the slides, dizzy discs and bash bags, while under-fives have their own toddler zone with a slide and foam blocks, and there's a further baby zone for pre-walkers and under threes who just want to be somewhere safe while a sibling tears about.
It's run in sessions rather than an open door all day. Weekdays in term time it's 9:30am to 2:30pm, broken into two-hour slots, with Saturdays running four sessions up to 7pm and Sunday a shorter 11:30am to 4pm window. That term-time-only weekday pattern is a faff if you're after a wet-weather escape in the school holidays, so check which pattern applies before you plan a whole morning around it.
Prices are gentle for soft play: £4.50 for a child aged 3 to 10, £3.50 for one and two-year-olds, £2 for babies under a year, and adults get in for £1. Booking isn't compulsory but they're upfront that there's a strict capacity limit, so once it's full you wait for a child to leave before you're let in, which matters at weekends and holidays when they say booking is strongly recommended.
Birthday parties are clearly a big part of what they do, with food packages from £8.95 a head and private hire at £225 for an exclusive slot. Outside food and cakes are only allowed if you've booked a party, so a picnic in your bag on a normal visit stays in the bag. Parking's free on site with overflow on the estate, which takes one worry off the list.
