What it’s like
A free outdoor play park with a spider net crawling into a slide and climbing wall, toddler swings and a rope swing for the bigger ones.
The spiders climbing net is the bit that'll get talked about on the way home, a big netted structure that feeds into a slide and a climbing wall, so it's not just one piece of kit but a whole route to work out. Younger ones have their own cradle swings, and there's a rope swing that seems built for any age to have a go on.
Beyond that there's a log balance beam, a rope walk and some tunnels to duck through, plus a ball court on hard standing if anyone's brought a football. It's the sort of layout where a four-year-old and a ten-year-old can both find something to do without one of them getting bored waiting for the other.
It's free to get in and there's an off-road car park on Alcester Road that's also free, which makes it an easy one to just turn up to without planning a whole day round it. Being outdoor play, a dry day helps a lot more than it would at somewhere with a roof.
