What it’s like
Bowling with darts, karaoke, retro arcades and an augmented-reality Playground room bolted on for good measure.
This is bowling as the excuse, not the whole visit. Once the game's done there's darts, pool, shuffleboard, beer pong and a karaoke room, plus the Playground bit, an augmented reality set-up where the screen throws games at you and your kid's own body is the controller. That last one is worth saving for the end, it's the bit they'll bring up on the way home.
A single game of bowling is £10.50 a head, but the off-peak combos make more sense if you're staying a while, £13 for two games, up to £21 for four. There's a Family Bowling package at £25 too. On peak days you only get the one bowling game booked in, with a second only if a lane's free, so don't plan the whole afternoon around a rematch.
You can walk in without booking, though with a spot like this in the Bullring on a Saturday, turning up unbooked is a gamble. Under-14s need an adult with them the whole time, no wandering off to the arcade machines alone. It opens from 10am on Saturdays and 11am the rest of the week, running through to 1am, though after 7pm it switches to over-18s only with ID checks, so an evening slot is off the table for a family visit.
One to flag: bookings are non-refundable and you can't push the date back once it's gone past, so pick your slot with a bit of care rather than optimism.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Bowling alone is £10.50 a head. Off-peak combo deals run from £13 for two games up to £21 for four, and there's a £25 Family Bowling package.
Do we need to book?
Walk-ins are fine but booking's recommended, they say everyone in Birmingham wants a lane. For a group, book ahead.
Can we book more than one game of bowling?
On quieter days you can add a second game. On peak days only one is guaranteed and a second depends on what's free.
What else is there besides bowling?
Darts, pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, beer pong, karaoke, retro arcade games and the Playground augmented reality room.
What's the Playground thing?
It's a gaming setup where games project out of the screen and you use your own movement as the controller, more arcade than screen time.
Is it OK for younger kids?
Children under 14 need an adult with them at all times, so it's not a drop-off spot.
Can we visit in the evening as a family?
Not really. After 7pm it's over-18s only with ID checks.
What are the opening hours?
10am to 1am on Saturdays, 11am to 1am the rest of the week, including school holidays and bank holidays.
Can we cancel or change a booking?
Bookings are non-refundable, and you can't reschedule once the arrival date has passed. You can change the time beforehand via your account if there's availability.
Can we bring the dog?
Guide dogs only, other dogs aren't allowed in.
