What it’s like
Tractor rides out to the bigger animals, baby goats to bottle-feed in spring, and a soft play barn for when the weather turns.
The tractor ride is the bit to build the visit around. It trundles out to see the larger animals and runs through the seasons, though not in February or March, so if you're planning a winter trip check which bit of the year you're actually in first. Closer to ground level there's a proper Meet and Greet with the smaller animals, feed you can buy for a pound to press into hopeful noses, and between April and June the baby goats are usually young enough to bottle-feed, timing depending on when the goats actually give birth, which is a nice reminder that this is a working farm rather than a schedule.
There's an outdoor playground and an indoor soft play area, so a grey sky doesn't necessarily write the day off, though the site is upfront that extreme weather (heavy rain, high winds, proper snow) can shut the park entirely, so it's worth a quick ring if the forecast looks grim. Pathways are tarmac with ramps to the main buildings, which makes it a properly easy day with a buggy or a wheelchair.
Opening hours are a bit of a puzzle to hold in your head: closed Monday to Wednesday in term time through the busier April to September stretch, open Thursday and Friday 10.30 to 4, weekends 10.30 to 5, and every day through the school holidays. Worth checking which pattern you're booking into before you commit a whole morning to it.
There's a café on site doing hot and cold food, and birthday parties run for groups of 10 to 30 with a Meet and Greet, tractor ride, soft play and a kids meal thrown in, plus free entry for the accompanying adult. If you're booking a kids party meal, they want 48 hours notice, so that's not a same-week decision.

Are tractor rides always running?
Not in February or March, they're not available those months. The rest of the year they're subject to weather.

Is there anything for younger children specifically?
The Meet and Greet with smaller animals and the outdoor playground suit younger kids, and there's an indoor soft play area too.
