What it’s like
Five slides, rope bridges and a ball pool to get through, with unlimited play time once you're in.
Five slides is the headline here, but it's the climbing area with rope bridges that tends to swallow up the older ones, alongside three play houses, a fire station and swivel scooters for the ones who'd rather zoom than climb. There's a ball pool and ride in cars too, plus penalty shoot outs if you've got a competitive five-year-old who needs an outlet. A separate toddler area means the under-fours aren't getting mown down by bigger kids on the way to the slides.
It's £6.50 a child from 1 to 12, £2.50 for babies between 6 and 12 months, and free if your baby is under 6 months. Parents and carers go in free, which helps soften the admission fee a bit. The genuinely good bit is that once you're in, play time is unlimited during opening hours, so there's no clock-watching or getting turfed out after an hour like a lot of soft play places do.
The on-site café does hot and cold food, and it's set up for allergies, coeliac, vegan and dairy free diets if you flag it when you book. Parking's free on site and the place is fully accessible for wheelchairs. It's card only though, so don't rely on cash if you're planning to grab a coffee on the way in.
Birthday parties come in two flavours: a regular party room for up to 30 children at £13.95 per child for two hours, or exclusive hire of the whole unit for up to 40 children at £460 for two hours. If you're doing a regular party, worth knowing that any siblings not on the guest list still get charged if they turn up on the day, and party times are strict, so build in a bit of a buffer before you book that slot.
