What it’s like

The big draw here is the multistorey soft play frame, the sort your seven-year-old will want to conquer top to bottom before you've even got your coat off. Under-fives get their own separate area, so a toddler wobbling about isn't getting mown down by bigger kids on a mission. There's also an interactive room for drawing and creative play, plus themed activity days if you time your visit right.
Sessions run for 1 hour 45 minutes, and they're strict about arriving at the start rather than turning up halfway through, since they clear and clean between groups. That's a fair enough system but it does mean you can't just drop in whenever suits. Entry is £8.50 a child over one (£10 at peak times), with adults at £1.50 for the first and £2 for each extra, which is one of the more generous adult prices you'll come across.
The café covers breakfast through to a proper kids menu, chicken nuggets and fish fingers included, with the meal, chips, a drink and a toy for around £6 to £7. They cater for allergies and dietary needs too, including halal and gluten-free, which is worth knowing if that's usually the faff bit of your day out.
Parking's free on site, which takes one worry off the list. Booking isn't compulsory but they recommend it, especially at weekends, and walk-ins are generally fine on weekdays. Birthday parties are a proper operation here, with Bronze, Silver and Gold packages, or private hire if you want the place to yourselves.
