Roller & Skate Rinks in Leeds

Skates and wheels turn up in more places round here than you'd think. LS-TEN, just two kilometres from the centre, runs a skatepark session for scooters, skateboards and BMX with a Mini Riders slot for four to eight year olds. Out at Bradford Ice Arena there's proper ice, with public skating and Learn to Skate lessons from £13.50, and a drive out to Huddersfield gets you Playworld's four floors of soft play with an indoor roller rink built in, socks compulsory. For toddlers, AJ's Roller Disco in Bradford hires skates from infant sizes for a Sunday afternoon session with a DJ, from £6. Mags On Ramps in Halifax is the one for older, braver kids, an indoor park with ramps, a bowl and a foam pit for ages five and up, card only. If cash is easier, Harrosk8 in Harrogate charges £6 in plus £2 for skate hire on its Saturday sessions. The Hut in Castleford throws a roller disco in with bowling and a sports hall, open weekdays till 9pm.
