Arcades, VR & Gaming in Edinburgh

Edinburgh does gaming a few different ways, and most of it sits right in the centre. Games Hub, a kilometre out, charges £5 to dig into its board game and trading card library, with tournaments most weeks. Lane7, right at the centre in St James Quarter, has bowling, crazy golf and pool from £10.50, plus shooting pods for the gaps between games. Fountain Park packs laser tag, trampolines, climbing, bowling and an IMAX into one building, a couple of kilometres out. For younger kids, Secret Solstice Games has a slower pace, from £2.50 an hour for Warhammer, Magic or the board game shelf, and it's dog friendly if that matters to you. Boom Battle Bar suits mixed ages (0-18) with crazy golf and shuffleboard, and food and cocktails for the adults sitting out a round. If free-roaming VR is what you're after, The Realm is a bit further out at 10 km, ages 8 and up, and booking ahead is required.
