What it’s like
A tabletop and games café where kids can dig into Warhammer, Magic or a board game library by the hour.
This is a place for the kid who wants to sit down and get properly stuck into a game rather than run about a soft play frame. There's a board games library you pay for by the hour, tables for Warhammer 40K, Blood Bowl and Age of Sigmar, tabletop role-playing games and Magic: The Gathering. If your child's already into painting minis or building a Magic deck, this is their kind of afternoon.
The pricing is straightforward enough: £2.50 a head per hour if you're pulling something off the games library shelf. If you're on a table for your own game, that's free for the first two hours, then £5 per person after that as a one-off, so it's worth eyeing the clock if you've got a long campaign planned. There's a café doing coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks, no alcohol on the menu, and a shop stocked with Warhammer models, paints, dice and TTRPG bits if your kid fancies spending pocket money on the way out.
Opening hours are limited to Friday through Sunday, so this isn't a weekday drop-in option. Friday's 1pm to 10pm, weekends run from midday to 10pm, which gives you a decent window either for a quick hour with the games library or a full session getting a game going. Dogs are welcome too, and the site mentions they'll get a treat at the bar, which is a nice touch if the family dog's coming along for the ride.
They also do private bookings for parties and bigger events, with pricing depending on the space and numbers.
