What it’s like
Adventure golf, an outdoor soft play jungle with a Kamikazi slide, and a pirate treasure trail, all walk-up with no booking needed.
Three attractions to choose from here, and you can mix and match depending on how long you've got. The Lost World Adventure Golf is 18 holes, Jungle Wipeout is the outdoor soft play bit with a bouncy castle, slides and a baby zone, and the Pirate Quest Maze is an interactive scavenger hunt with a treasure trail built in. That last one is a good save-for-last if you've got a seven-year-old who likes a proper hunt rather than just a run around.
There's no pre-booking on any of it. You turn up on the day and book yourself onto a session, which the site itself admits can mean a queue in busy periods, so getting there ahead of the session start time is the trick. Opening hours shift around depending on weather and how busy it is too, up to 5pm on weekends and school holidays, 3pm on Fridays, so it's not a fixed timetable you can rely on blind.
The boating lake is out of action at the minute, rowing boats and pedaloes both off due to pond weed, so don't build a day around that bit. Adventure golf is £6 for adults and £5 for children and concessions. The Greenhouse Café does home cooking, snacks and ice creams, and dogs are welcome if you're bringing one along.
Birthday parties run as packages, from one attraction plus a meal deal at £12.50 a head up to all three attractions for £17.50. Minimum fifteen people, and because the parties are outdoors they can get postponed for bad weather, which is why no deposit is taken.

Plan your visit
Do we need to book?
No pre-booking, it's walk-up only. You book yourself onto a session when you arrive, so turning up a bit before the session starts helps you dodge the queue.
How much does it cost?
Adventure golf is £6 for adults and £5 for children and concessions. Party packages run £12.50 to £17.50 a child depending on how many attractions you include.
What are the opening hours?
9.30am to 3pm on Fridays, 9.30am to 5pm on weekends and school holidays. Hours move around with the weather and how busy it gets, so a call ahead is sensible before a long drive.
Is the boating lake open?
Not currently. The rowing boats and pedaloes are out of action because of pond weed and algae in the lake.
What's included in the kids party meal deal?
A choice of chicken nuggets, fish fingers or sausage with chips and unlimited squash, served on a terrace kept just for the party. There's a vegetarian option too.
What's the minimum for a birthday party?
Fifteen people. You can add a Superhero or Princess character on top through one of the character companies they work with.
What happens if it rains on party day?
The party activities are all outdoors, so bad weather can mean a postponement rather than the party going ahead. No deposit is taken, which makes that a bit less of a headache.
Is there food on site?
The Greenhouse Café serves home cooking, snacks, ice creams and drinks. In the evenings it turns into a bar for private parties and live music.
Can we bring the dog?
It's dog friendly.
