What it’s like
A straightforward soft play in Sunderland with a coffee shop, open daily and easy to reach by bus or Metro.
Soft play is the whole offer here, and that's no bad thing when you just need somewhere warm and indoors for a couple of hours. It's open every day from 9:30am to 5:30pm, so there's no faffing about with sessions to plan around.
Prices are set by age: £6 for 1 to 3 year olds, £7 for 4 and up, £3 for under ones, and adults get in for £2. That's decent value as soft play goes, though it's cash only, which feels a bit old-fashioned when everything else runs on contactless these days. Keep some notes handy before you set off.
There's a coffee shop on site doing fresh food, proper coffee and tea, and treats. Birthday parties are clearly a big part of what they do: packages start from £11.95 a child for the standard option, with themed parties from £15.95, and they all include 90 minutes of play plus a party room and food.
Parking is the catch. It's limited street parking behind the building, though there's also parking near the Metro station if you don't mind a short walk. Given the bus stop right outside and another close by, getting there without a car is genuinely easy, which makes up for the parking a bit.
