What it’s like

Age-banded soft play zones for babies through to eight-year-olds, with a café and free parking on site.

Zones split by age mean a crawling one-year-old and a confident seven-year-old aren't fighting for the same slide, which is the sort of detail that saves your sanity on a wet Tuesday. It suits babies right up to eight-year-olds, and pricing steps up as they grow: £2 under one, £5.50 for one to two-year-olds, £7.50 from age two. Adults get in free, which is a small mercy when you're paying for two or three kids.

Opening hours are generous through the week, 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, a touch later start at weekends, and Sunday winds up at 4pm. There's a café on site for the grown-ups' coffee and the kids' chips, but the one rule that catches people out is no outside food or drink allowed in, so leave the picnic bag in the car.

If your child has SEND, there are quieter hours every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 10am before the general crowd arrives, which is a thoughtful touch worth building your morning around. Birthday parties run on weekdays at £15 a head for a minimum of ten children over two hours, or you can take over the whole place on a Sunday evening for £400 up to 20 kids. Free parking on site takes one thing off the list.
