What it’s like
Slides, ball pools and laser tag under one roof, with a baby-only corner for the under-twos.
The big draw here is the drop slide, though it's only running at weekends and during Barnet school holidays, so a random Tuesday visit means the rest of the frame instead. There's ball pools, more slides, laser tag for the ones old enough to enjoy chasing each other round in the dark, and workshops where they'll make a bear or a batch of slime to take home. Babies from six months up to two get their own separate section, which is worth knowing if you're bringing a toddler and a baby on the same trip and don't want one flattening the other.
Sessions run 1 hour 45 minutes, and they want you there 5 to 10 minutes early to check in, which eats into your play time if you're not organised. Socks are compulsory for everyone on the equipment, and while you can buy a pair if you forget, it's one more thing to remember on the way out the door. Adults need a ticket too and have to stay and supervise, so this isn't a drop-and-run kind of soft play.
Food is on site only. The café does hot and cold meals and drinks, but you can't bring your own in beyond baby food or a birthday cake, which is a bit of a faff if you've got a fussy eater who'll only touch what's in their own lunchbox. Parking is free in the Brent Cross multi-storey, level 3, and they say it's 30 seconds from the door, so that bit at least is painless.
Weekends and school holidays get busy enough that they push you to book online, and doing it a day ahead saves you up to £2 a head. Parties start from a minimum of 10 to 12 children depending on the package, with two hours of play, a helper and a private room thrown in, so it's not really geared up for a small friendship group.
