What it’s like

A big indoor-outdoor play centre with a climbing wall, electric motorbikes and a role play village, plus an outdoor jumping pillow and zipwire.

The role play village is the bit that'll eat your morning here: a mini supermarket, a pet shop and a few other interactive corners that keep the under-8s properly occupied. There's a Trailblazer climbing wall for the ones who want a challenge, electric motorbikes to drive about on, and a sensory zone for anyone who needs a quieter minute. Outside there's a jumping pillow, a zipwire, a football pitch and a pirate ship, though access to that side depends on the weather playing along.

Under-5s get their own dedicated zone away from the bigger kids, and Toddler Thursdays in term time bring Tiny Tunes musical sessions if you've got a little one who likes a sing-song. Everything runs on 2-hour timed sessions, which is about the right length before a toddler flags and a five-year-old starts negotiating for one more go on the wall.

Prices shift by age and by time of day. Peak sessions run from £12.80 for a one-year-old up to £16.15 for a child aged 5 and over, with adults at £6.30; off-peak knocks a few pounds off each. Booking online is recommended and locks in your slot, but walk-ins get in if there's room, for £1 extra a head at peak times, which feels like a slightly cheeky way to nudge you towards booking ahead. Socks are compulsory in the play frame and outside food isn't allowed beyond baby food, so the café is doing the honours with pasta, sandwiches and a kids' menu.

Parking's free on site, which softens the admission price a bit, though spaces are limited so don't leave it to the last minute on a wet Saturday when the outdoor bit's closed and everyone's indoors instead. Tuesdays run a shorter day with no afternoon session, and Wednesday afternoons are reserved for SEN sessions only, so it's worth knowing before you turn up expecting the usual timetable.

Do we need to book?

Booking online is recommended and guarantees your slot. Walk-ins are accepted if there's space, but you'll pay £1 extra per person at peak times.

How long is a session?

Two hours, and sessions run at set times through the day rather than open entry.

Is it suitable for a baby or toddler?

There's a dedicated under-5s zone separate from the main play frame. Toddler Thursdays in term time add Tiny Tunes musical sessions.

Can we bring our own food?

No, outside food and drink isn't allowed except baby food. The café does pasta, sandwiches, salads and a kids' menu.

Is there parking?

Free on-site parking, though spaces are limited so it can fill up at busy times.

What happens if it rains?

The outdoor area, including the jumping pillow and zipwire, may be restricted in bad weather. The indoor play frame and zones stay open.

What are the opening hours?

Open daily with 2-hour sessions. Tuesdays close earlier with no afternoon slot, and Wednesday afternoons are SEN sessions only.

Do you do birthday parties?

A 2-hour party with the last 45 minutes in a themed party room, plus hot food and an ice lolly for each child.

Are socks required?

Socks must be worn at all times in the play frame.

Is there a discount for childminders?
