WHERE

What it’s like

A general admission theatre on Hope Street where you turn up, find a seat and catch whatever touring show is on that night.

There's no seating plan here, so it's first come first served once you're through the door. That changes how you plan the evening a bit: turn up in good time if you want a decent view, because nobody's holding a specific seat for you no matter what the ticket says.

You can book online any time, or ring the box office Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. If you'd rather not plan ahead, tickets go on sale at the theatre itself 30 minutes before curtain up, though that's first come first served too. Most shows wrap up by 10pm, which is handy if you've got a babysitter clock-watching or an early start the next day.

The building itself is older. They've applied for a lift but there's no date yet for when that'll be sorted, which is worth knowing if that's going to be a problem for anyone in your group. Once you're inside, though, everything's on one level, and there are accessible toilets. If you need accessible tickets or a carer's ticket, you'll need a Nimbus registration number to hand when you book.

Parking on Hope Street itself is limited, but there are secure car parks on Heathfield Street and Oldham Street, both a five to seven minute walk away. If you're coming by train, Liverpool Central and Lime Street are both about ten minutes on foot, which makes it an easy one to reach without worrying about parking at all.

Plan your visit

Can we book seats in advance, or pick where we sit?

You can book the show in advance, but seating is general admission, so there's no picking a specific seat. Get there early if you want your choice of view.

How do we get tickets?

Online any time, by phone Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, in person at the M&S Bank Arena box office, or at the theatre itself 30 minutes before the show starts on a first come first served basis.

Can we get a refund if plans change?

Tickets are non-refundable unless the show is cancelled or substantially changed. You might be able to exchange for a different performance if you call the box office.

Is the building accessible if someone in our group uses a wheelchair?

There are 8 steps to get in and no lift yet, though one's been applied for. Once inside it's all on one level, with accessible toilets, and you'll need a Nimbus registration number for accessible ticket discounts.

Where do we park?

On-street parking on Hope Street is limited, but there are secure car parks on Heathfield Street and Oldham Street, both five to seven minutes on foot.

How long does a show last?

Most performances finish by 10pm.
