What it’s like

Dance, theatre, music and soft play sessions run in the school holidays, and it's free to join.

The Summer Youth Arts Scheme and the May Half Term one are the two dates to know about, both running 11am to 3:30pm. Inside, kids get stuck into dance, theatre, music and general arts activities, with soft play there too for the ones who'd rather bounce than perform.

There's no cost to any of it, which for a full day's programme of arts activities is the sort of deal you don't question, you just turn up. There's a café on site if hunger strikes mid-session, and the building itself is properly sorted for access, with lifts, ramps and accessible toilets throughout, so a wheelchair or a buggy isn't going to be a problem anywhere in the place.

It's an indoor venue, so the rain outside is irrelevant once you're through the door. Because it runs as a scheme rather than a drop-in, it's worth building your day around those set hours rather than turning up whenever suits, since the activities are structured across the whole session.
